Destin Library Summer of Code robotics program
Students in grades 5-12 are invited to flex their programming muscles during our Summer of Code! Register to compete in the Robolympics, or show off your creativity by making a show-stopping game in our Open Game Lab.

All programs are open to Okaloosa County library patrons free of charge.

Teams of 3-5 students will design, build, and program their own LEGO Mindstorms robots in the Destin Library Digital Design Studio. Then they'll go head-to-head for a week packed full of unique challenges. The winner will be awarded the Code Cup at the Summer of Code Showcase on July 21.
LEGO kits, iPads, and programming software will be provided for the first 8 teams to request them.
Registration of pre-formed teams is recommended. Single registrants will be placed on teams with open seats after registration closes; however, we cannot guarantee placement.

Open Game Lab

Whether you're just starting out learning to program in Scratch or are a seasoned pro looking to expand into 3D modeling, our Open Game Lab has something for you. Come program your masterpiece any time the library is open, then show it off during our Showcase!
